The Board discusses the project and writes a letter summarizing our evaluation of whether or not the project is consistent with the Bernal Heights East Slope Building Guidelines. The letter is sent to the project sponsor or architect and copied to the San Francisco Planning Department. If the project does not comply with the Guidelines, the Board asks for revisions and invites the project sponsor or architect to schedule another meeting to review refinements made in response to the letter.
Since the Board is not a City agency, it does not have the power to either approve or disapprove the application.
